| 17 January 2012 - At home in Surry Hills And a Happy New Year to you all! I hope you had a wonderful Silly Season and that the return to normality hasn't been TOO rough! Christmas and New Year for me was onboard the spectacular Sea Princess, cruising around New Zealand. It doesn't come much better than that. I've finally stopped prevaricating and have launched into writing a full Peter Allen set! By the time I get back on a ship it will be ready and I'm hoping to give it a Sydney Club Premier in early March - watch this space! I hope that 2012 turns out to be a great year for us all! (Oh, and of course, rebuilding this website from the ground up has been a BIT of a task!) Until I see you again, be safe, be happy and be the BEST you that you can possibly be! Simon. |

26 November 2011 - At sea on Dawn Princess Here I am back on one of my very favourite ships. It's so nice to be back among old friends and settled into the same cabin I occupied on my last run over to India. It's been an eventful year so far and I'm amazed that it's almost at a close. I've had two trips to India, I've turned 50 years old (ouch), been on some amazing cruises to places I'd never seen before, had great times with wonderful friends and for those of you that know me well of course there's been that lovely 'special' addition to my personal life. All in all 2011 has brought with it some very nice things! This end of the year has been busy with a lot of interesting projects. I'm very happy to be developing new professional relationships with producers, writers, agents and venues. I'm working on new projects and songs and trying out lots of new stories on my poor, long-suffering audiences. 2012 already has some lovely things lined up and I'm hoping that it will prove to be a really fun-packed year. As always I'll try to keep you up to date with what's going on (feel free to email me a reminder to put up a post here if I'm tardy!). Christmas is on the way - I'll be on Sea Princess over the festive period. As I always say, if you're on board, don't be shy! Come up and say 'Hello Simon - here's a gin and tonic!' Wherever you are, whatever you're doing have a fabulous time! Until I see you again, be safe, be happy and be the BEST you that you can possibly be! Simon. |
| 1 September 2011 - Surry Hills in Sydney
Well I'm just about to pack to join Pacific Sun in Broome for a trip up to Indonesia. It's been lovely having a few months at home and being able to do some local shows. I can't tell you how much I adore my Australian audiences. There's so much warmth and laughter. You'll never know how much I appreciate you! After a wonderful few months touring with The Twilight Shadows I've decided to let the lads off the leash and have hung up my 'Cliff' for a while again. I had a real ball singing those wonderful songs and working with a set of seriously lovely musicians. I know they'll continue to knock audiences dead wherever they play. I've got a few ideas brewing for new shows so keep your eyes peeled! Until I see you again, be safe, be happy and be the BEST you that you can possibly be! Simon. |
