Making a CD was probably the last on my list of priorities. The idea of learning how to sing for a studio, rather than an auditorium,
the thought that I had to be able to say “Yes, THAT is the one and only version of this song that will work”,
indeed the choice of only 12 songs by which one would then be identified in so many ways, and ofcourse the mad notion that
anyone in the world would want to take it home with them…. it all just seemed a little far away and not where I should be.
Each song on the album is close to my heart. And some of them I’d never heard before wandering into I.B. Music Studios early in 2008.
It turned out to be a stepping-stone forward for me musically and a wonderful adventure in so many other ways.
‘Home’ is a project that I’m incredibly proud of and that has been the cement in a wonderful friendship with Ian and Efro Blakeney,
who nursed, cajoled, enticed and occasionally bullied me through the process. ‘Home’ is where the heart is. And my heart is there
every time you play it. Please enjoy this collection of songs. They come from the heart.
